who is dr. artik

Mihail Neychev a.k.a. Dr. Artik is a Bulgarian DJ producer and entertainer.

He has been on the music stage, business and industry for more than 15 years as DJ & producer, entertainer and entertainment manager.

Dr. Artik has played music at big raves and parties and in many luxury discos, clubs, bars, hotels, lounges, pools, clubs, yachts, private events & etc. in his home country Bulgaria and around the globe.

He has constant performances in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Greece, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and many other countries, so he has performed in over 17 countries on two continents so far.

Dr. Artik is a multi-format DJ. His music style ranges from dark minimal techno to deep house, tech house and the famous nu disco genre to mainstream POP mash-ups and Russian pop remixes, always trying to keep up with the latest trends in the music world and DJ scene.

Studio X

Studio X is the name of the recording studio where Dr. Artik works on his own music projects. The studio is located in the small bulgarian town of Dimitrovgrad and is а part of the activities of Nationonal Community Center “Vasil Levski 2003”, Dimitrovgrad.

The styles I think I know well and work with for the last few years are:  Afro house, deep house, tech house,  nu disco, pop remixes, dance mashups Russian pop music, as well as some of the seasons’ club mainstream  hits.  The best way to get an idea of what I work with is by listening to some of the sets in the DJ mixes section of this page.

Over the past 15 years I have worked in many different places. The DJ services I offer have been equally well received everywhere. In my DJ portfolio I have venues such as:

  • lobbies, pools and bars of 4, 5 and 6 star hotels;
  • swimming pools;
  • pre-bars; cocktail bars;
  • pubs;
  • small and large clubs;
  • beach bars & restaurants;
  • ships, boats and yachts;
  • small and large disco clubs and discos;
  • small and large open-air festivals;

I have experience with conducting:

  • private parties – birthdays, baptisms, weddings, home parties, etc.
  • corporate events – company gatherings, cocktails, presentations, showroom atmosphere, team building, etc.
  • club events – fashion shows, themed parties

and many others.

There are many things that should be considered when looking at the cost of hiring a professional DJ. Some of the most important of these are:

  • Working hours
  • Overtime
  • Type of event
  • Transportation (airline tickets, etc.)
  • Hotel and other accommodations.

For this reason, a fixed price for the service cannot be determined. Please contact me using the contacts below and we can discuss what your specific needs are and how I can best and most cost effectively assist you. Please allow at least 5 days prior to the event.


In general, the DJ setup is the equipment DJ uses in its booth: Playback devices: CDJ’s, turntables, mixers, controllers, effects units, drum machines, synthesizers, microphones, etc.

The sound systems include the amplifiers, the processors that pass the audio signal to the amplifiers, the speakers, bass speakers and many others.


When hired, I have everything I need to do my job in the DJ booth. Аs a digital DJ, on all venues I work with my own:

  • Macbook Pro;
  • DJ Console;
  • Few MIDI controllers;
  • Headphones;
  • Wi-fI Microphone (if need);
  • Cables, stands, cases and etc…


Most of the places I’ve had the pleasure of working are equipped with their own sound and lighting systems.

When needed and requested by clients, I use the services of companies that deal with professional stage lighting, sound, special effects and pyrotechnics.

I avoid using a microphone while I work.

In my 15+ year professional career as a DJ (disk jockey), I have learned that using a microphone prevents me from focusing on my set and mix.

Yes, there are DJs who use a microphone, but I am not one of them. If the microphone is a must, I use the professional services of experienced MCs. I can provide contacts upon request.

It depends on the requests. If a request is in line with the music style I know and work with and if I feel it will cheer the audience then why not? However, I avoid repeating tracks in my sets.

It is also important to know that requests to download and play something, play a track from youtube, a phone, a USB, etc. will be ignored. Needless to say, such requests are very disrespectful and absurd.

No. Regardless of the financial motivation I do not accept work proposals that do not allow time for proper planning and preparation.

Yes, I am! I am vaccinated with Jansen vaccine and Pfizer booster. I can present the necessary documents and certificates on request.

Yes. I have the following certificates:

  • Basic safety training;
  • Safety training for personal providing direct services to passengers in passenger spaces;
  • Training in passenger ship crowd management;
  • Trining in passenger and cargo safety and hull integrity;
  • Training for seafarers with designated security duties;
  • Crisis management and human behaviour training.

All of them are issued in Bulgaria, EU.

I can present the necessary documents and certificates on request.

Are you planning a private party, gathering, corporate event or do you own or operate a bar/club or venue and would like to hire a high quality DJ.

You are looking for a DJ for a long-term contract or for a single event.

You have a clear idea of what type of DJ you need and how much you can spend on the service.

You have done your homework – you have listened to my DJ mixes, you have checked with friends who have seen me work, you know what kind of music I work with and you want to use my professional services.


You can contact me through the contacts below. Be sure to make an appointment at least 5 days before you need the service – that way we have enough time to discuss everything and make an arrangement.

You can pay by bank transfer, PayPal, Revolut or cash.

Your event will be added to my calendar upon receipt of the deposit. The deposit is 50% of the agreed price. It must be received at least 2 days before the event.

The deposit guarantees that I will only work for you on the agreed date and will not accept any other work proposals.

The deposit is non-refundable: you will not get your money back if you change your plans or cancel the event.

The remaining 50% will be paid immediately upon completion of the work.

An invoice can be issued after full payment.

I will contact you one day before the event to clarify the final details.

On the day of the event, I will be at the venue 2 to 4 hours before the event starts, depending on the equipment you want me to bring.

I will install and turn on all sound and lighting equipment. Before the guests arrive, I perform a full sound check to make sure everything is in order and there are no unpleasant surprises during the event.

I meet with your team of organizers/promoters. We go over the requirements for the event one last time. If promoters are available, I give them specific information that can help promote the event.
